I will talk about how the book chronicles personal histories of the city’s great jazz artists and the history of Vancouver’s jazz scene. I will also talk about my research techniques. DESCRIPTION:Chris will present Journeys to the Bandstand and read an excerpt from the chapter he wrote on singer and jazz club owner Ron Small. Marcus Mosely\, who sang with Ron in the great gospel group the Sojourners and directs the Marcus Mosely Ensemble\, will perform with pianist Michael Creber.
